IIDA Global Excellence Awards – International Interior Design Competition

Open to: Any Interior Designer, Interior Architect, or Architect may submit design project(s). The design project(s) must be located outside of the United State of America, however the design firm may be located anywhere. The design project(s) must have been completed after January 1, 2010.

Pricing: The cost to enter is $200 per entry. Each project may only be submitted once. Payment accepted in U.S. funds only. Entry fees are non-refundable. If you are submitting more than one entry, upon completing this form, you will be redirected to an additional entry form(s).

Purpose: To honor and celebrate outstanding originality and of international interior design/architecture projects.

Awards will be presented at MAISON&OBJET in Paris on Saturday, January 21, 2012. The Best of Competition winner is announced at that time and receives a one-of-a-kind .

To enter, prepare and submit:

* Your design firm’s contact information including name, address, phone number and e-mail
* Your design project’s information including name and location
* A statement describing your project
* 7-10 images of your project including a maximum of 3 floor plans
* Payment processed through iida.org.

All submissions must be sent in electronic format. No hard copy submissions are accepted.


* Corporate Space Large (1,000 square meters and above)
* Corporate Space Small (under 1,000 square meters)
* Cultural/Institutional/Educational (elementary/secondary educational facilities, colleges/universities, art museums, religious facilities, libraries)
* Healthcare (hospitals, medical facilities)
* Hotels
* Municipal/Public Spaces (government spaces, sports arenas, casinos, entertainment/performing arts centers)
* Residences (private homes, embassies, consulates, assisted/senior living)
* Restaurants (restaurants, bars, lounges)
* Retail (stores, boutiques, showrooms)
* Spas/Fitness/Wellness Centers


Winning design projects are selected by a jury of design professionals. Entry submissions are judged on the appropriateness of the design solution and the successful integration of the elements of design.

A Best of Category winner and a maximum of two Honorable Mentions in each category are selected. A Global Excellence Best of Competition winner is selected from the Best of Category winners. It is at the judges’ discretion to not select a winner in each category.
