7. HOW ENTRIES WILL BE JUDGED

Criteria

Entries will be judged on three criteria:  typography, creativity and usability, each of which will be equally weighted.

Community Choice

Entries that have been deemed eligible will be made available online at www.webfontawards.com (the “Gallery”) within three (3) business days of such determination. Between 8:30 a.m. EDT on September 21, 2011, and 11:59 p.m. EDT on October 31, 2011 (the “Public Voting Period”), visitors will be asked to rate each eligible entry in the Gallery, taking into consideration the Judging Criteria described above. Visitors to the webfontawards.com website will need to create an account in order to rate submitted websites. Accounts will limit visitors to one (1) rating per entry. Limit one account per person. Visitors will rate websites on each of the three judging criteria identified above. Visitors will supply a rating ranging from one (1) to ten (10) for each criteria, with ten (10) representing the highest possible rating. The visitor’s rating for each website will be determined by averaging the three criteria ratings. The ratings provided by visitors that choose to supply full contact information when creating their Account shall be assigned a higher weighting. A visitor’s rating may also be given a higher weighting the more frequently the visitor votes and when the visitor’s voting pattern is deemed to be similar to ratings provided by other visitors. At the conclusion of the Public Voting Period, the entry with the highest average rating will be designated as the Community Choice winner. Judging

Following the conclusion of the Public Voting Period, three entries will be selected for live judging.  The nominees for the live judging will be selected by majority decision of three (3) employees of Monotype Imaging Inc. or its affiliated companies with web design experience. The Community Choice winner is eligible to be included in the live judging.

The live judging of the three nominees will take place at the conference on November 7 or 8, 2011 and will be based on the criteria described above. Once determined, the date of the judging will be added to the competition website on www.webfontawards.com.
